I think humans tend to be sensitive to brighter, more saturated colours, and in our society we often use brighter colours as warnings or signs, such as fluorescent yellow stickers in underground garages, and red to warn people of things that are forbidden. This is because the wavelength of red light is the longest of all visible light. As a result, red light has the highest diffractivity and therefore has the strongest bypass power of all visible light. There are many substances in the air that test the bypass ability of light. Therefore, the choice of warning colours must take into account not only the visual properties of the human eye, but also environmental factors. One can only imagine if red is perceived most strongly on a foggy day.

I learned that before the mid-nineteenth century coloured paints were usually very expensive because they were made from minerals, plants and animals and the process was very complex. Making natural pigments was usually both time consuming and laborious and the most vibrant colours were often only available to the most distinguished guests.

If I need something eye-catching I will use high contrast, high brightness colours or use colour psychology to get people in the mood, often some red posters have more impact and get people excited, which is why red pills work better as stimulants.
